[glow=red,2,300]Herblore[/glow]
Herblore is a members-only skills and can only be done on a member's server. To start herblore you will need to complete the "Druidic Ritual" Quest. Herblore is the skill of identifying herbs and making potions using herbs and second ingredient materials. You can get an herb a couple of different ways. One way is by killing monsters; another way is by buying them from people. To see a picture of an herb, scroll down to the 'Identification' section of the guide.
Identification
To identify a herb you can click on an herb once it is in your inventory. If your herblore level is high enough you will be able to identify it. If it is not high enough, you will not be able to identify it. JUST REMEMBER: Save all herbs whether you can identify them or not, because you may only need a couple of levels until you can identify it and when your level gets very high it will take a long time to raise it. The more herbs you get, the easier it will be when your level increases. You can also combine 1 dose, 2 dose and 3 dose potions to get 4 dose potions. All unidentified herbs look the same:

To make a potion you will need to get the following items: (Attack potion ingredients shown)
1. A Vial of water.
2. An Identified herb.
3. And the second Ingredient.
All you have to do then is:
1. Use the herb with the water-filled vial.
2: Use the second ingredient with the unfinished potion.
Of course, you must have the correct herblore level to make each potion.
Use the below chart to determine if your herblore level is high enough to make a certain potion.

Grinding
To grind items in Runescape, you will need to purchase a 'Pestle and Mortar' from the Herblore Shop in Taverly.
Once you grind items like the 'Unicorn Horn', you can add them as your second ingredient for certain potions. There are other items that need to be ground before use in potion making. Below is a table that lists those items.

Secondary Ingredient Locations
Each herblore potion requires a Secondary Ingredient. For convenience, some ingredient locations are listed in the table below (more locations may be available).
Secondary Ingredient Name Picture Location
Eye of newt Purchase at all Herb Shops such as in Taverly, and Pt. Sarim Rune Shop
Unicorn Horn Kill Unicorns or Black unicorns (Unicorn foals do not have horns) south of Edgeville, southeast of Rellekka, on Entrana, in the Wilderness, south of Seers' Village, and other locations
Limpwurt root Monster drop; kill Giants in Edgeville dungeon
Red spiders' egg Red spiders' egg spawns in Varrock Sewers and in Karamja Volcano dungeon
Chocolate Chocolate Bar spawns in Cooking Guild and in Lost City; bar (10 gp) and dust (2 gp!) can be purchased from both grocers on the 2nd level of the Grand Tree
White berries Spawn in Wilderness and in Tirannwyn
Toad legs Pick up Swamp toads in Taverly or in Lumbridge Swamps; click on them to remove the legs
Snape grass Spawn (3) on Hobgoblin island west of the Crafting Guild
Mort myre fungi Made using Silver sickle(b) in Mort Myre Swamp: refer to Nature Spirit quest
Blue dragon scale Kill Blue dragons in Taverly Dungeon (need Dusty key)
Wine of zamorak Telegrab from Chaos Temple east of Taverly, north of Doric
Potato cactus Spawns in Kalphite dungeon in desert southwest of Shantay Pass (bring Rope to go down)
Janger berries Spawns on Ogre Island west of Yanille (bring Rope to swing across)
Poisoning
If you are a member of Runescape, you have the ability to poison arrows, daggers, darts, bolts, and spears. When you use the poisoned weapons in combat, it will poison the victim.
To poison a weapon, you must have the level-60-herblore potion 'Weapon Poison'.
If you have completed the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio Quest, you may also create poisonous Karambwan paste for use on spears. It inflicts more damage per hit than regular Weapon poison. Consult the quest guide for details.
Not only can you be poisoned by daggers, spears or arrows, but poisonous monsters, such as the 'Poison Spider', can also poison you.
If you get poisoned, the only way to cure yourself is by drinking an "Anti Poison"' or a "Super Anti Poison" potion.
If you die, you are free from poison when you're "reborn".
Poison will wear off after a certain amount of time.
Greenman's Ale
Greenman's Ale, available singly from Yanille's pub (or from the Lighthouse Keeper's store after Horror from the Deep quest) for 10gp each, temporarily boosts herblore by 1 level for about 30 seconds.
30 seconds not enough? Remember all those "useless" Stat Restore potion languishing in your bank... now's the time to use them! As soon as the effect of the ale wears off drink some Stat Restore, then you can drink ale again for the full effect.
Note- if you don't do this, drinking another ale before your stats are restored means the ale's effects will barely last long enough for 1 potion or herb ID!
QUEST POTIONS
Some potions can only be made during and after certain quests. (potions that cannot be made outside of quests, such as Eadgar's Ruse Troll potion and Legends Bravery potion, are not included here for brevity.) Consult the quest guides (links in table below) to find complete details for making these potions.

Goutweed Collection Mini Guide
Following the new Eadgar's Ruse Quest players can now collect the herb Goutweed from the troll storeroom and exchange it with the druid in Taverly for other herbs. The following guide will help to get them faster.
Recommended Items
monks robes top and bottom
prayer ammy (either but sara is best due to def bonus)
Teleport runes for faly and trollheim
Kit list 1
6 energy pots
18 lobs
Kit List 2

Kit List 3

You can also take around 5-6 Logs with you instead of Lobsters to exchange with Eadgar for goat stew (heals 20).
Strategy
When getting across the storeroom you will have to negotiate a number of Troll guards. If you get into their line of sight (around 8 squares ahead of them) they will throw a club at you hitting random damage and tossing you out of the room.
Stop in alcoves to recharge energy and take stock of the situation.
Start running for the alcove when this troll heads down the first row of crates. This gives a free run 90% of the time. The final stage is just a matter of waiting for an opening and running to the Goutweed crates.
Once you get a herb you will be thrown out of the room. Once you have full inventory of herbs, tele to Falador then head to the Druid to get your herbs. He will give you herbs at 1:1 and there are always a few higher level herbs (over Irit).
NOTE- Teleport to Trollheim to get back. if you can't tele you will need to bring climbing boots to get over agility obstacles.
